On The Road To Imagine Festival 2015

IMAGINE Festival 2015.

Back

The last couple of weeks have been busy for IMAGINE, having staged the national finals from France, Belgium and Sweden. The quality of all of the acts was undisputable, and the jury of each country had a hard time to pick up the winners that will be representing their countries in the IMAGINE Festival International Final, which will take place in the last weekend of June of 2015 in Brussels, Belgium.

The band In circles, with their powerful mix of Progressive Metal Rock will be representing Sweden. The jury said about them: " So heavy - so tight – of course! Total magnetism and star- quality that kept us in a stranglehold that we never wanted to get out of”.

And indeed, with their energetic set they conquered the public and have secured themselves a place in the final.

The second price went for Duo Systrami, which will be appearing as guest players on the last IMAGINE national in Croatia, to be held on the 6th and 7th of December in Zagreb.

The Belgian final was also a great success. The singer –songwriter Milo Meskens is the chosen one for representing Belgium, with an intimate set of Folk, Acoustic-Rock and a great voice.

The other laureates are the duo Aline & Maxime, winning a tour in Sweden, Karen have won a tour in France and a 2-day recording session, Act1 will be touring in Croatia, and Dan Feng Fang and Valere Burnon have won a day at the studio to record some more great tunes!

Also the French finals where full of talent and great acts. L’Envie, an alternative rock band originally from Lille, were the winners. Based on a unique instrumentation (drums, guitar / vocals and cello), this trio has distinguished itself through its musical identity. Since its inception in 2010, more than being alternative rock, they have offered an alternative to rock.

The group Les No Name were rewarded for their performance and are invited also to the IMAGINE Festival International Finals. This award is part of an effort to promote exchanges between different country organizers and serves as a springboard to highlight its international dimension.

So, in sum, there is a lot to look forward to! Thanks to all the participants and organizers, and see you guys in Brussels 2015!
